Participation of Teacher Librarians in Professional Learning Communities

Abstract
Teacher librarians are educational personnel who play an important role for building the professional learning communities. It is intended to work together between teachers and teacher librarians in the development of teaching skills, learning skills, and learning outcomes based on educational standards. This article presented the content about the professional learning communities in terms of meaning, importance and characteristics of professional learning communities. The roles of teacher librarians in professional learning communities were collaborating between teachers and teacher librarians, integrating with technology, promoting literacy and reading and preparing the teacher librarians to join with the professional learning communities.
