Development of guidelines for well-being within private schools of Kalasin Provincial Education Office.

Abstract

               The purposes of this research were 1) to study the current state, desirable conditions, need of well-being within private schools of Kalasin Provincial Education Office. The samples consisted of 294 school administrators and teachers. The research instrument was the questionnaire with an Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC) of 0.86 and a Reliability of 0.87. The statistics used for analyzing data were Modified Priority Need Index, mean and standard deviation and 2) to develop guidelines of well-being within private schools of Kalasin Provincial Education Office. Focus group discussion included 7 professionals as informants. The research instrument was the evaluation form. The statistics used for analyzing data were mean and standard deviation.


              The results are as followed :


  1. The current state of well-being within private schools of Kalasin Provincial Education Office was at a high level. Considering all items, it was found that most of them were in the high level. Desirable conditions of Kalasin Provincial Education Office were at the highest level in all items. Result of the needs were In promoting well-being in schools Have the most needs. Next is the well-being people. As for the least needed side was well-being promotion in communities and society.              

  2. Results of a use of guidelines for well-being within private schools of Kalasin Provincial Education Office were divided into 5 categories; 1) the rationale 2) the purpose 3) the guidelines for promoting well-being in schools were divided into 5 factors; 3.1) well-being people 3.2) promoting well-being in schools 3.3) promoting well-being in the environment 3.4) well-being promotion in communities and society. The results of studied categories were discussed among a focus group of experts for affirmation and suggestions. The results of possibility, suitability of developing guidelines were at high level.
