The Potentials of Lam Phok Community in Managing Community-Based Tourism of the Lam Phok Surin Province

Abstract

The Potentials of Lam Phok Community in Managing Community-Based Tourism of the Lam Phok Surin Province focused on studying potentials of community, in order to community-based tourism management and component of community tourism management. There was studying level of the potentials of Lam Phok community in managing community-based tourism of the Lam Phok when researcher considered component of tourism resource in nature, culture and community. In addition, participation of community leader, network associates and government have high quality levels that propelled tourism managing by community. However, component of community tourism, tourism management was found that accommodation and tourism management models have not quality. In part of staff and people in Lam Phok community, they lacked knowledge for general information of tourism managing by community. As a result of component of Lam Phok community tourism management, there were consideration from attractive things, facilities, accommodation and tourism activities and researcher found that Lam Phok community has the potential to be developed into a tourist attraction by the community under components as follows; 1) Community characteristics 2) Cooperative network group 3) Community tourism’s potential increasing 4) model scheme and tourism planning, and 5) Cooperative network group development.
