Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) develop creative media that help elevate memory abilities for people with hearing impairments, to further the process of commercial handicraft design. 2) for people with hearing impairments to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, 3) to promote the ability of people with hearing disabilities to learn in their careers and employment in the creative industry. The research model is participatory action research and field data collection. The two-Process Theory of Memory, Decay Theory and Design Thinking were used as research frameworks. The research area are Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University and Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University. The sample were 10 hearing-impaired college students. The results of this research found that the use of creative notebook media using the Bullet Journal recording process combined with the use of diagrams, sketches, and note-taking by Thai Sign Language interpreters related to specific topics. The media is done by organizing the book according to the personal taste of the recorder, who is hearing impaired himself. The results found that this process can encourage their learning, study, review, and improve their memory abilities. Furthermore, people with hearing impairments can participate further in designing and creating commercial handicrafts.
