The Hidden Implications of Creating the Character " Phra Ram" In Ramayana Story, King Rama 1 Edition

Abstract

This study aimed to study the key features and hidden implications of Ramayana character construction in the Rama 1 edition of Ramayana by using the concept of character creation and the concept of semiotics as tools for data analysis. The study found that the essential attributes of Phra Ram character came from two parts of personality construction; inner personality and outer personality. As a result, Phra Ram character has had an important feature; a person who has had a mind and good conduct. At the same time, he is was a very talented person. As for the study of the hidden implications of building Phra Ram character, it was found that the main characteristics of Phra Ram character appeared to be related to the ideology and political ideas of His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great.
