ANALYZE STUDY THE BUDDHIST ETHICS IN THE CAMADEVIVAMSA LITERATURE

Abstract

This article has 3 objectives included; 1) to study the history and background of the Camadevivamsaliterature, 2) to study the Buddhist ethicsappeared in the Camadevivamsa literature, and 3) To apply the knowledge obtained from the Buddhist ethics appeared in the Camadevivamsa literature to apply in daily life.This research is a qualitative research and interview, with analyzing information collected from books, articles, academic articles, reviews, journals, websites, myths, historical annals, inscriptions related to the scripture of the Camadevivamsa, including belief and interview.The research found that the Camadevivamsathe chronicles of kingdom of Hariphunchaifeatures the city legend and the Buddhist legend.The study of the principle of the king in the Camadevivamsa descripts the king's 3 duties forself-rule and governance rule included a caring for parents, a use of Dharma of Buddhism in governance and being leadership in fostering Buddhism which can be applied in daily life.
