Abstract

             The objectives of this thesis were (1) to study morphology of kuy spoken in Uthumphonphisai District, Sisaket province and (2) to analyze word formation of kuy Dialect in Uthumphonphisai District Sisaket Province and the procedure of doing the research data was collected vocabulary 1,624 words from six informants.

             Findings from the results of the study were as follows

             The study of morphology in Kuy language spoken in Uthumphonphisai District, Sisaket province consists two categories. There were simple forms and compound forms and can classified kuy language two types, free morphremes and bound morphremes. Kinds of the words were noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, classifiers, adverb of time, numberals, Preposition, conjunction, determinative, negators and final particles. Word formation of Kuy language were 4 kinds, compounding, affixation, reduplication and loaning. For the Syllabic of kuy language there were Monosyllabic words, Dissyllabic words and Polysyllabic words. Structure of sentences of Kuy language were subject + verb + object.
