EFFECTS OF THE COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION PROGRAM FOR ASSERTIVE BEHAVIORS OF MATTHAYOMSUKSA TWO STUDENTS AT WICHIANKLINSUKHON UPPATHAM SCHOOL PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study effects of the cognitive behavior modification program for assertive behavior of matthayomsuksa two students at Wichianklinsukhon UppathamSchool PhraNakhon Si Ayutthaya province 2) to compare assertive behavior of students before and after participated in the program. This research was the quasi experimental. The population consisted 85 students of Matthayom two at Wichianklinsukhon Uppatham School in the second semester, year of 2016 The research asked students to do the evaluation of assertive behavior test. The 20 students were experimental group. The students of experimental group were tested the program for 10 sessions, 50 minutes per each session. The instruments for study this research were used: 1) the Cognitive Behavior Modification Program for Assertive Behaviors 2) the evaluation of assertive behavior 3) the Student’s Self-Report in each session 4) the Student’s Opinion Questionnaire towards the Cognitive Behavior Modification Program and the researcher. Mean, standard deviation, Non Parametric Statistics (The Wilcoxon Matches Pairs Signed Rank Test) were utilized for analyzing data.
The research results indicated that: 1) the posttest scores from evaluation of assertive behavior of the population were higher than pre-test scores at .05 level of significance. 2) the Student’s reported that participating in the enhancing assertive behaviors program helped them to learning, understanding and recognizing the importance of having assertive behaviors.
