THE PEOPLE’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CASE STUDY: PROJECT OF GATHERING FOR CLAENING THE CANAL, AMPHAWA, SAMUT SONGKHRAM.

Abstract

This article purpose is to study about the people’s participation in the sustainable community development case study: Project of Gathering for Cleaning the Canal, Amphawa, Samut Songkhram by using observation and interview the community leader and people who participated in the Project of Gathering for Cleaning the Canal, as the study methodology. This study uses the scope of participation such as 1. Participation of decision to perform 3 processes are initiation and decision 2.  Participation of performance 3. Participation of benefit 4. Paticipation of evaluation, analysis and synthesis the issue by SWOT analysis principle regarding to the people’s participation in the sustainable community development case study: Project of Gathering for Claening the Canal, Amphawa, Samut Songkhram.  This study result find that the Project of Gathering for Cleaning the Canal is the sustainable community development which the people in community participate in the activity for developing their community. This project has the weakness as the people’s disunity and the lack of good plan and has the strange is being the non-wage working. This project is the opportunity to strengthen the unity among the community to sacrifice for community’s project 1 time a month. The treat is the lack of supporting budget and sustainable plan.
