The Study of Learning Achievement and Satisfaction using STAD Cooperative Learning Technique on Cooking Course of Grade 11 Students

The purposes of this research were: (1) to study the learning by using STAD cooperative learning techniques together with a series of activities on hot dishes area and stir-fried of effective grade 11 students (Criteria 75%) (2) to compare the learning achievement between post-test and pre-test at school and post-test and pre-test Criteria. (3) to study the satisfaction level of grade 11 students with the use of learning by using STAD cooperative learning technique together with the activity series on hot dishes area and stir-fried. This research used one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample group was 30 Grade 11 students at Guangxi secondary vocational school which obtained by simple random sampling. Research instruments consisted of (1) learning management plan with the STAD Technique, (2) achievement test, multiple choice, 4 choice, 30 items, (3) 15 items of satisfaction assessment form, 5 rating Scales.
The results were as follow. (1) The post-test achievement on cooking course was significantly higher than pre-test at the 0.01 level. (2) The post-test achievement on cooking course was significantly higher than the criteria of 75% of the full score at the 0.01 level. (3) The students were satisfied in cooking course of grade 11 student at Guangxi secondary vocational school with the learning by using STAD cooperative learning technique in all aspects, namely teachers, teaching media, and learning activities, at the highest level, ( = 4.53, S.D.=0.59).
