A study on the oral Mandarin language ability and satisfaction of the first year of primary education major of Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities using STAD Cooperative learning technique

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Study the organization of cooperative learning; STAD technology, including a series of Mandarin oral proficiency activities for first-year primary education students of Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities; (2) Compare the learning performance between pre-test, post-test and post-test with 75% as the standard; (3) Study the satisfaction of first-year primary education students of Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities in organizing cooperative learning activities using STAD technology and a series of Mandarin oral proficiency activities. The sample is a simple random sampling, including 25 first-year primary education students of Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities in the first semester of the 2024 academic year. The research tools included: 1) A collaborative Mandarin speaking proficiency management program using STAD technology and learning activities targeting Mandarin speaking proficiency, 2) A 30-item achievement test with difficulty value (0.40–0.68), discrimination value (0.35–0.5 2) and Lovett reliability value (0.84) with Alpha Cronbach reliability value (0.87), 3 A 15-item satisfaction questionnaire with item objective consistency value (0.60≤IOC≤1.00) The research design was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-test.

The research results are as follows: 1) The posttest scores were significantly higher than the pretest scores at the 0.05 level, and the posttest scores were significantly higher than the 75% standard at the 0.01 level. 2) Students were satisfied with the learning activities. Overall, the average score for each aspect was 4.84, with the highest satisfaction.
