Prevention Model of Road Traffic Accidents in Waengyai District, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract
Objective : To study the problem situation for develop a model and evaluate a road traffic accident prevention model in Waengyai District,Khonkaen province
Materials and Methods: : Develop a service system in conjunction with the Road Safety Operations Center Committee and related multidisciplinary teams based on the concept of the WHO : 5 S Strategic.Assessment of DHS-RTI Road Accident by Injury Prevention and Injury Data for 236 cases.Analyses of data using descriptive statistics; counts, percentage, qualitative data applied content analysis.
Methods : Action research
Results : The developed model consisted of 1) Driving participatory operations of multidisciplinary teams. 2) An analysis, identification and management by the government sector, local government organization,community 3) Strengthening the potential of RTI Team at the sub-district level 4) Continuous implementation of measures and community checkpoints 5) Measures for road safety organization 6) Continuous risk communication. As a result, the road accident prevention operation is at an excellent level. The death rate from road accidents has decreased.
Conclusion : The development of the model resulting from the adoption of the 5 S strategy has resulted in the return of information to the area. lead to analysis Collaborative approaches and solutions to problems with multidisciplinary, including sharing lessons learned, result in continuous action in preventing road traffic accidents.
