Abstract

ABSTRACT

Thailand has a continuously increase the elderly population. It is expected that in 2030, the elderly population, aged 60 years and older account for more than 25% of the population. The Ministry of Public Health recognizes the importance of entering the aging society and has a health promotion plan to ensure that the elderly receive comprehensive care. Establishing a clinic for the elderly is another policy that helps the elderly receive screening, health care, and appropriate treatment. This article demonstrates the process of working with communities and local organizations to organize activities with the elderly, screen problems in the elderly, and refer them for further assessment and treatment in a clinic for the elderly that provides one-stop services by multidisciplinary team.
