DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS, WORK WELFARE FACTORS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT FACTORS INFLUENCING JOB SATISFACTION AMONG EMPLOYEES OF A THAI COMMERCIAL BANK IN BANGKOK

Abstract
This research aims to 1) study the impact of different demographic factors, including gender, age, education level, marital status, position, income, years of service, and length of employment on job satisfaction; 2) study the impact of workplace welfare on employee job satisfaction; and 3) study the impact of work environment on job satisfaction among employees of a Thai commercial bank in Bangkok. The sample group consisted of employees from a Thai commercial bank in Bangkok. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and inferential statistics, including t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis, were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that: 1) Differences in demographic factors, including age, education level, marital status, position, income, years of service, and length of employment, did not significantly affect job satisfaction among employees of a Thai commercial bank in Bangkok, except for gender, which showed a difference. 2) Workplace welfare significantly impacted employee job satisfaction at a Thai commercial bank in Bangkok, with a total influence of 77.00% (R2 =.77). Simultaneously, work environment significantly impacted on employee satisfaction. With a combined influence of 71.00% (R2 = .71), which was statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
