Factors affecting the educational achievement of accounting students Chiang Rai Rajabhat University working while studying

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study factors affecting the educational achievement of accounting students at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University who had a part-time job while studying. Data were collected via questionnaire from 123 second-year, third-year, and fourth-year students at the Accounting School, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, who had a part-time job while studying. Krejcie and Morgan’s sampling method was employed to select the participants. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data.
The results showed that factors affecting the educational achievement of accounting students at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University who had a part-time job while studying were, overall, at a high level. The factors with the highest average were education, teaching quality of instructors, knowledge, skills, and experience gained from the curriculum. All of these made the students confident before entering the professional labor market. The aspect with lower average was family and friend relationships, including receiving support, advice, and encouragement from the family.
When the students had problems, they could also turn to their friends for advice. As for personal factors, the students felt motivated to finish the degree within the period designated by the university. Personal characteristics were the factor affecting the educational achievement of the accounting students at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University who had a part-time job and having a statistically significant positive correlation at the .05 level.
