Abstract

This research aimed to study and improve production planning process of copper tube of P.S. Metal Works Co., Ltd. and to study of sales employee satisfaction after improved production planning process of copper tube.
The research results revealed that,
1. The production planning process of copper tube of P.S. Metal Works Co., Ltd. has a production system followed by made to order and lead time approximately 34-35 days which will not be able to competition the competitors within the same industry.
2. The improvement production planning process of copper tube is combination between the production system followed by made to stock for product Group A and the production followed by made to order for product Group B and product Group C. By classifying products according to ABC Analysis results is that product Group A has 7 items, Group B has 9 items and the rest 33 items belong to Group C. After the improvement production planning process will reduce the lead time of product Group A remaining only 2-3 days approximately and sales increase from the opportunity cost after deducting the inventory cost approximately 403,008.22 baht per month.
3. The renovation production planning process of copper tube has been recognized by the operators which gives the company an opportunity to increase sales and enables effectiveness of the organization and the operators.
