02 Performance Management of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians for Air Transportation Business in Thailand

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the operational factors that affect job performance and to study the guidelines to improve job performance of aircraft maintenance technicians for air transportation business in Thailand. The sample of this study is composed of 200 samples consisting of operational level employees and executive level employees of technical department from 3 airlines namely Orient Thai Airlines, Thai AirAsia and Jet Asia Airways. Researcher has employed computerized statistical analysis in finding correlation, mean, standard deviation and multiple linear regression analysis in finding relationship between independent variables and dependent variables.
Result from the survey has indicated that the overall factor which affected job performance of aircraft maintenance technicians for air transportation business in Thailand was at high level. When considering in depth in each variable found that the need to perform the jobs was affected at high level that contain highest mean. The following factor is the capacity to perform jobs which was affected at high level. And the opportunity to perform jobs was affected at a high level, respectively.
