THE PERCEPTION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY INFLUENCING INTENTION TO USE THE TECHNOLOGY AND WORK ENGAGEMENT AMONG THAI GENERATION X EMPLOYEES

Abstract
This research paper aimed to 1) Study the influence of ease of use on the usefulness of artificial intelligence technology by Generation X in Thai organizations, 2) Study the influence of usefulness and ease of use of artificial intelligence technology on the intention to use such technology by Thai Generation X, and 3) Study the influence of usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use artificial intelligence technology on the work engagement of Generation X. This research is quantitative. Researchers used questionnaires to collect data from a sample of 400 Generation X individuals in Thai business organizations, selected using quota sampling from all regions of Thailand. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling using PLS-SEM. The findings revealed that ease of use has a significant positive influence on the usefulness of artificial intelligence technology. Ease of use and usefulness of AI technology also clearly influence the intention to use artificial intelligence technology. Furthermore, ease of use, usefulness, and intention to use AI technology significantly influenced the work engagement of Generation X in Thai business organizations. The research findings suggest that executives can use these findings to develop policies and strategies for implementing artificial intelligence technology within their organizations to adapt to the digital and AI-driven era of the future.
