IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF NONG SAI SUBDISTRICT, PHUN PHIN DISTRICT, SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research article are to 1) study quality of life 2) develop activities to improve quality of life 3) create a network to improve quality of life in the community. of the people of Nong Sai Subdistrict, Phunphin District, Surat Thani Province It is a mixed methods research. There are areas of content, quality of life, physical aspect, mental aspect, and social relationship aspect. And in terms of the environment, the population includes 365 people in Nong Sai Subdistrict. A questionnaire was used as a tool with a reliability value of 0.99. Statistics used in the analysis were percentages, means, and standard deviations. Key informants include 5 people from the local government department, 5 people from the Nong Sai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and 5 academics, totaling 15 people. The results of the research found that 1) People in Nong Sai Subdistrict have a quality of life. At a high level, including physical aspects ( = 3.90, mental aspects ( = 3.89), social relationships ( = 3.87), and environmental aspects ( = 3.78). 2) Develop activities to improve quality. Physical life through the lunch program Project to construct a multi-purpose sports field, psychological aspect through the project to promote the health of the elderly and people with disabilities, participating in the Wat Pracharat Creates Happiness project, social relations aspect. Through gathering together to do activities such as merit-making ceremonies, ordination ceremonies, funerals, promoting the development of religion, art, culture, customs, traditions and local wisdom. Environmental aspect Through organizing a waste management system Maintaining the condition of water sources, canals, and canals; and 3) creating a network to improve the quality of life in the community. Form of activity using the power of "Bowon" (home, temple, school/government), network building, joining the Moral Model Project to build community networks. Network activities emphasize the practice of Buddhist principles. and continue the tradition local culture and goals for creating a network Voluntary and participation
