Abstract

This research article aims to Study of out - of - hotel dining behavior of Thai guests in 5 - star hotels in Phuket Province. It is quantitative research. By using a questionnaire as a tool The sample group consisted of 400 Thai guests who came to use the services of a 5 - star hotel in Phuket Province, Thailand, which were purposively obtained from foreign guests. “Have stayed” in a 5 - star hotel that is a member of the Thai Hotel Association Analyze data with ready - made programs Descriptive statistics were used, including means, percentages, to compare differences between population groups using chi-square analysis. The results of the study found that the majority of Thai guests are female, between 21 - 30 years of age, single status, bachelor's degree education, occupation, students. and income between 10 , 001 - 30 , 000 baht. Behavior of eating outside the hotel where the person participating is eating. Most of them go to eat with family/relatives. Things that affect the choice of food, sightseeing, and places to choose to eat. Because the atmosphere is suitable Time of eating: 6:01 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Reasons for choosing to eat: Social gatherings, influencers in choosing to eat: Friends/lovers, Frequency of eating: Sometimes Results of analysis of differences between demographic characteristics and out - of - hotel dining behavior of Thai guests. In a 5 star hotel in Phuket Province Using the chi  -square test, it was found that Thai guests with different genders, ages, statuses, educational levels, and occupations had eating behaviors outside the hotel. They are significantly different at the 0.05 level. Thai guests with different average monthly incomes have the behavior of eating outside the hotel. no different.
