DEVELOPMENT OF ETHICAL BEHAVIORS IN NURSING PRACTICUM OF NURSING STUDENTS TOWARDS AUTHENTIC LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract
Nursing Professional is the professional that related to life and health of human. Because nursing practicum is beyond with individual differences. Nurses spend their time mostly in health care services; therefore, nurses frequently challenge to encounter with health problems and moral problems in their practice. Some of nurses may be faced with right actions but some distressed for its because lack of experience to encounter with them. Standard of practice and quality of care might be definably concern in nursing professional, Thailand Nursing Council determines professional standard of care and ethical standard for patient safety, respect of patient and decrease of prosecution in health problems from health care services. Focusing on individual enhancing ethical behaviors must be important in these situations, especially through with nursing education. Effective authentic learning approach is fit able for teaching and learning method for nursing students to improve ethical competency care of their patients in nursing practice. Focusing on Nursing process, pre and post conference in every health care level by embedded knowledges and ethical competencies with ethical principles, ethical concepts, patient rights and code of ethics. By criticizing, guiding them to understand, concern in values of human and decision making of ethical problem for encountering ethical behaviors in health services these are outcomes enhancing competence for solutions in problem nursing professional.
