A STUDY OF POLICY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELDERLY QUALITY IN THE AREA OF THA YANG SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, THUNG YAI DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE.

Abstract

The objectives of this thesis are as follows; 1) To study policy for sustainable development of the elderly quality in the area of Tha Yang sub-district administrative organization, Thung Yai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. 2) To study the sustainable quality of life of the elderly in the area of Tha Yang subdistrict administrative organization Thung Yai district Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The researcher used mixed-method research. The questionnaire tool was used with 4 groups of 21 key informants. The population used in this research was 970 elderly people in the sub-district administrative organization. sample size according to Krejcie and Morgan’s table and got a sample of 276 persons. The results showed that; Policy for sustainable development of the elderly quality in the area of Tha Yang sub-district administrative organization, Thung Yai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, it was found that ; by including all 4 aspects, was at a high level (  = 3.72) when considering each aspect found that the aspect of physical was at the highest level ( = 3.85), followed by the aspect of spirit (  = 3.77) and the aspect of participation was the lowest mean (  = 3.46). The policy for sustainable development of the elderly quality in the area of Tha Yang sub-district administrative organization, Thung Yai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The physical aspect is to promote the care and attention of physical health. The mental aspect is to promote the perception of positive feelings that the elderly should have and on the aspect of participation is to build relationships between houses, temples and communities, and on the aspect of environment, which is building a community suitable for the elderly and service for the elderly in the temple by the community itself, etc. and the recommendations of policy for sustainable development of the elderly quality i.e. there should promote elderly service center in the temple by the community itself, etc.
