DEVELOPING GUIDELINES TO ENHANCE CURRICULUM AND LEARNING MANAGEMENT COMPETENCY OF TEACHERS UNDER THE OFFICE OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

          The research article aimed 1) to investigate the current situations, desirable situations and needs of enhancing curriculum and learning management competency of teachers under the office of vocational Education in Nakhon Ratchasima province, 2) to develop the guidelines to enhance curriculum and learning management competency of teachers under the office of vocational Education in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The study was divided into 2 phases; phase 1 was the study of the current situations, desirable situations and needs of enhancing curriculum and learning management competency of teachers .The sample of this phase was 285 consisted of the head of departments and teachers in schools under the office of vocational Education in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The instrument used was the questionnaire. Phase 2 was the development of the guidelines. There were 9 participants who suggested the guidelines comprised of school administrators, the head of departments and teachers. The participants who evaluated the guidelines were 5 consisted of school administrators, teachers and supervisors. The instruments used were interview questions and the evaluation form. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean and standard deviation.

          The results of the study pointed out that: 1) The current situations of curriculum and learning management competency of teachers shown that overall aspect rated in more level. The desirable situations yielded that overall rated in the most level. Needs of curriculum and learning management competency of teachers could be raged according to the most needed were shown as follows; learning assessment and evaluation, using and developing learning materials, innovation and technology for learning, design and developing curriculum, students – centered learning management and learning design respectively. 2) The guidelines to enhance curriculum and learning management competency of teachers shown the possibility and the appropriateness rated in the most level.
