AN EMPOWERMENT OF RESCUE VOLUNTEER OF KOKCHANG RESCUER ASSOCIATION, YALA PROVINCE THROUGH FOUR BASES OF SOCIAL SOLIDARITY

Abstract

In this research, interview of rescue volunteers, community leaders, related department and involved people was also done. Then, the descriptive analysis was done to propose the data and suggestions. In the research, it was found that: 1) In the practical guidelines of rescue volunteers of Kokchang Rescuer Association, Yala province, it showed that they were properly compulsory trained in both theory and practice to gain certain good potentiality. They should have the basic knowledge on the prescribed task; they should attend their duty for 24hours, they should know themselves where self-confidence could be made. Furthermore, rescue volunteers’ self-sacrificing is a must task because it serves as the foundation of good mind where giving is more important than taking; they are purposely assigned to take a proper care of those who are under the disastrous situations like their relatives, they should respect to others’ opinions while evaluating any situation. In this task, they should inculcate their knowledge based on experiences into those involved. As result of that, all equipment’s can be prepared to be ready for whatever disastrous situation is going to take place; they should get themselves trained regularly so as to provide certain support to those who are in depth need, such as, first aids, carrying out whatever regulations are prescribed strictly. 2) According to four bases of social solidarity in Buddhism, they basically refer to virtues where one’s mind is somehow attached to other mind resulting in supporting one another and they are of four principles; giving, kindly speech, useful conduct and even and equal treatment
