Abstract

This quantitative research, conducted over a one-year period, investigates "Participation Awareness Regarding Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) in Government Agencies," focusing specifically within the context of Ramkhamhaeng University. The objectives of this study are twofold: to examine participation awareness regarding ITA among key stakeholders, and to promote knowledge, understanding, awareness, and active participation. The research population and sample consisted of 400 internal stakeholders selected from a population of 3,725, and 400 external stakeholders sampled from a population of 137,452. Simple random sampling was employed for sample selection. Questionnaires served as the primary research instrument, yielding Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.734 for the internal questionnaire and 0.709 for the external questionnaire, thereby satisfying reliability criteria. Demographic and general data were analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while relationships between variables were analyzed using One-way ANOVA.

The research findings revealed the following: (1) Both internal and external stakeholders exhibited similarly high levels of anti-corruption attitudes and participation awareness. (2) Conversely, both groups demonstrated similarly low levels of knowledge and understanding regarding the assessment. Factors including knowledge, understanding, experience, and communication channels were found to have a positive correlation with the level of awareness. Furthermore, an easily understandable and accessible assessment model significantly influenced participation. (3) Consequently, the university should continuously provide education on the assessment and enhance public relations to elevate the level of stakeholder participation awareness.
