Development of Management Strategies to Enhance the Volunteer Spirit of Senior Scout
Abstract
This research aims to 1) Study the environment and management approaches for promoting volunteer spirit among Senior Scouts. 2) Develop management strategies to promote volunteer spirit among Senior Scouts. 3) Examine the appropriateness of these management strategies for promoting volunteer spirit among Senior Scouts. Research Methodology: The study involved examining both the internal and external environments of scout management through interviews with 11 experts. The environmental data were analyzed to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT Analysis). From this analysis, key strategic points for promoting volunteer spirit among Senior Scouts were formulated. Next, 5 experts were interviewed to explore management approaches that support volunteerism in scouting. The resulting strategies were drafted and reviewed for appropriateness through interviews with an additional 5 experts. The data were analyzed using content analysis.
The research results found that The developed management strategy for promoting volunteer spirit among Senior Scouts includes a vision, mission, objectives, and five core strategies: 1) Developing scout activity curricula to promote volunteerism. 2) Developing personnel to conduct scout activities that foster volunteer spirit. 3 Improving management systems for scout activities to support volunteerism. 4) Mobilizing resources for scout activities. 5) Promoting participation from networks, communities, and external organizations. The evaluation results indicated that the strategies are highly appropriate.
