The Model of Exercise Activity for Health of Female Students at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University
Abstract
This research was a quantitative and quasi-experimental research. The purposes were: 1) to study the model of exercise activity for health, and 2) to evaluate the model of exercise activity for health with Yoga and Aerobic dance of female student at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University. The Sample used the Purposive Sampling method of 64 samplings, divided into 32 experimental groups and 32 control groups. Research instruments were questionnaire with 0.74 reliability and the record of BMI measurement results of Sport Science Bureau, Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The data was collected by organizing exercise activity for health with Yoga and Aerobic dance with the experimental group for eight weeks. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and BMI analysis.
Results showed that; 1) Most of the female students had the most form of exercise for health which was yoga, for the opinions and expectations were middle ( =3.13, S.D.=0.33). And 2) the results of evaluating the model of exercise activity for health with Yoga and Aerobic Dance, it was found that was at the suitable proportion. There was a mean difference in body mass index (BMI) of the experimental group of 0.65 kg/square meter and the control group averaged 0.72 kg/square meter.
