The development and transfer of technology innovation for traditional local chicken raising in a fully integrated business to raise the income of the Khwao Ya Dee sub-district community Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Province
Abstract
The objectives of this research project are 1) to promote, develop and transfer knowledge about innovation. Integrated business-oriented organic indigenous chicken production technology; and 2) find ways to increase the potential of cultivating organic indigenous chickens with integrated business to raise the income of members of the old Ya Dee way of organic farming community enterprise group. Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Research methodology is a research that combines quantitative methods. and qualitative Data were collected by means of group discussions, meetings, observations, structured interviews. A questionnaire was used for evaluation after the completion of the project. The key informants were 50 farmers who were members of the Old Ya Dee Way of Organic Farming Community Enterprise Group. Data were analyzed from the interviews. by content analysis method Describe details, interpret, find meaning and explain by using inductive analysis method and using descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage values.
The results of the research revealed that the body of knowledge that promotes the development and transfer of innovation Integrated business technology for organic native chicken production to farmers, including 1) knowledge of native chicken breeding, such as breeder selection; incubation process and chick production, chicken feed, disease care Cost reduction/productivity and effective methods of raising; 2) knowledge of local chicken feed production, cost-effective formula “Yeast fermented cassava pulp” 3) Knowledge, technology and innovation “Energy-saving incubators” and 4) knowledge of local chicken marketing in Chaiyaphum. The results of a study on ways to increase the potential of cultivating organic native chickens as a comprehensive business to raise farmers' incomes found that due to the current situation with the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) across the country, the market the main market for indigenous chickens in the border market has to be shut down. Farmers cannot sell live chickens. Therefore, it has found a way to process local chickens into a variety of products for sale, such as shredded chicken, ready-to-cook minced chicken, herb jar roasted chicken, herb roasted chicken, fermented chicken, herb steamed chicken and mum kai, etc. can. The results of the evaluation of the opinions of farmers participating in the knowledge transfer activity revealed that, overall, the farmers were satisfied with the participation in the activities. At the most level with an average of 4.93%, representing 98.60%. When considering each aspect, it was found that the satisfaction level was the highest in all aspects. Suggestions for joining the activity it was found that the farmers' groups now have a genuine breed of indigenous chicken that has been developed. In Tambon Kao Ya Dee, there are local feed ingredients. And farmers have a network of native chicken farmers across the country.
