Agricultural Innovations for the Public Interest
Abstract
This article aims to present agricultural innovations for the public benefit. According to changes in the economic system, in particular, the traditional agriculture and manufacturing sectors have been replaced by services such as finance with higher economic value. The economy has grown by leaps and bounds, combined with the development of new technologies. These machines and automation systems are made, which they are being able to work for people, they also have higher accuracy and efficiency. The need for use workers in the agricultural system and thus the traditional manufacturing sector is dwindling. The global financial crisis in recent years has revealed some weaknesses of the industrial way in the main cities that is no longer a sustainable way. Therefore, agricultural policy for the public benefit needs to restructure by bringing innovation in agriculture to be used as a mechanism for economic development because it is seen that the use of technology will play an important role in rural development and reduce social inequality. The development of science, technology and engineering is an important tool to help transform agriculture and become a sustainable industry.
