Study on Potentiality in Khon Kaen Development toward the Sport City

Abstract

This research aims at studying the potential of KhonKaen province developingto be a Sport City by using a qualitative research method. The primary target groups of this research are included numerous executives, entrepreneurs, personnel and public medias specifically in sport and tourism industry in KhonKaen province. There are several factors need to be considered to make KhonKaen becoming a sport city. Promotion of sport training and exercising policies and availability to local people is crucial because it enables to develop and support local athletics in terms of generating income and increase of new jobs in the city. Promoting through sport strategic planning in the provincial development plan positively result in attracting national and international athletes, the raise in sport tourists and creating new innovations in sports. be a sport city relatively build confidence for both domestic and foreign investors investing in sport and tourism industry.
