Perception in Strategic Leadership of The Student Officers of The Royal Thai Air Force Air War College
Abstract
The objective of this research is 1) to study level of subject description perception for building strategic leadership of military students of Air War College, and 2) to study level of operating capacity showing strategic leadership of the military students of Air War College. The population group is 70 military students of Air War College. The research instrument is rating scale questionnaire. Descriptive statistics applied in analysis include frequency, mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The finding of the research result indicated that: 1) military students of Air War College had high level of subject description perception for building strategic leadership in overview and individual area (μ = 4.12, σ = 0.41) in sequence from high to low level of subject description perception for building strategic leadership at high level in analysis and synthesis, and evaluation, and at secondary level in memory, understanding, and application, respectively; and 2) had high level of operating capacity showing strategic leadership in overview (μ = 4.15, σ = 0.43) in sequence of high to low level of operating capacity for building strategic leadership whereas the level of strategic leadership capacity was highest in leadership, decision making and problem solving, strategic management skill, availability of vision, and the secondary level of strategic leadership capacity was high in negotiation skill, and language usage skill, respectively.
