The Comparison of Learning Achievement and Problem Solving Ability in the Development of Teenage Lesson for Mathayom Suksa 1 Students by Using Problem-based Learning and Regular Learning
Abstract
The purpose of this research was 1) to develop the learning management of the development of teenage lesson for the students in Mathayom 1 [M1] by using problem-based learning [PBL] and regular learning [RL] that has the efficiency criteria at 80/80 2) to compare learning achievement [LA] of students in M1 before and after by using the development of teenage lesson for the students in M1 by using PBL and RL 3) to compare the problem solving ability [PSA] of students in M1 before and after using the development of teenage lesson for the students in M1 by using PBL and RL. The sample was 33 students in M1/1 and M1/2 of Buayai School under Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Administrative Organization in the second semester of academic year 2017 by using Cluster Random Sampling. The instrument using in this study were 1) the appropriate 10 learning management plans by using PBL and RL in the development of teenage lesson for M1 2) 30 questions in multiple choice form of LA Test in the development of teenage lesson for the students in M1 which has the difficulty between 0.40-0.73, the discrimination between 0.22-0.81, and the reliability at 0.94. 3) 20 questions in multiple choice form of PSA Test in the development of teenage lesson for the students in M1 which has the difficulty between 0.53-0.74, the discrimination between 0.34-0.78, and the reliability at 0.75. The statistics for analyze were the mean, standard deviation, and t – test (Dependent Sample) The research found that:
- The learning management plans by PBL and RL in the development of teenage lesson M1 that had the efficiency criteria (E1/E2) at 89.94/89.39 and 83.42/82.93 which was higher than criterion at 80/80.
- The students were studied the learning management plans by PBL and RL in the development of teenage lesson M1 to have the LA Test scores which were posttest higher than pretest significance at level of 0.5
- The students were studied the learning management plans by PBL and RL in the development of teenage lesson M1 to have the PSA Test scores which were posttest higher than pretest significance at level of 0.5
