Chinese Tourists’ Satisfaction with 4-Star Hotels in Ratchadapisek Area, Bangkok

Abstract

         The study on Chinese tourists’ satisfaction with 4-star hotels in Ratchadapisek area, Bangkok during the year 2017 to propose ways to improve service quality of the hotel. This research processed by using questionnaire for quantitative data collection. The population were 400 Chinese tourists who stayed in the 4-star hotels in Ratchadapisek area,  randomly selected by using purposive sampling method. The research’s outcome showed that the informants had high level of satisfaction after using the hotel services. When considering each aspect concerning room features, pricing, services, and facilities, it was found at high level with the mean (x̄) of 4.37, 4.23, 4.33, and 4.12 respectively. When analyzing each aspect deeply in details, it revealed that the informants still thought that the cleanness of the hotel rooms were not correlated with the price. Moreover, they needed tourist information center around the hotels where the staff could communicate in Chinese or English. The level of satisfaction would get higher if the 4-star hotels could provide shuttle-bus transfer from the airport to the hotels.
