The Progressive Development of Learning for the Course of Human Resources Management in Public Sector using the Method of Reviewing Prior Knowledge
Abstract
The objective of this research was to develop the learning progress through reviewing prior knowledge method in Human Resources Management in Public Sector course. A sample was selected from 5 students who enrolled in Course 2208205 (Human Resources Management in Public Sector) of semester1/2017 and were below the 50th percentile after course pre-testing. The research instruments were classroom observation forms, and lesson plans. The data was analyzed by using percentile rank.
The research showed that the average scores after using the reviewing prior knowledge method in learning were obviously higher with the average of 5.6 (56%) compared with giving students new knowledge and then summarizing new knowledge with the average of 3 (30%), so the obviously difference was 2.6. Students were energetic to prepare their information, ready to listen, and concentrated on the lessons. That would be easier for teachers in the next lessons.
