Youth Participation in Combating Corruption in The Public Sector

Abstract

Background and Aims: Academic articles on youth participation in combating corruption in the public sector are essential to support and strengthen the principles of good governance and transparency in public sector operations. In addition to issuing rules, regulations, or regulations for general operations, to encourage youth participation in combating corruption in the public sector to create efficiency in organizational management and the work of internal auditors, to make them aware of the dangers of corruption or misconduct in their agencies, guidelines for auditing and preventing corruption in the public sector have been developed as a tool for auditing and evaluating the efficiency of operations in government agencies. The focus is on controlling behaviors that may indicate opacity of government officials to help solve corruption problems from the beginning, which will help and be consistent with good governance. This article aims to present guidelines for youth participation in combating corruption in the public sector.

Methodology: This study is a study of documents and related research. The author analyzed and synthesized them with a presentation according to the study objectives.

Results: The approaches for youth participation in anti-corruption include (1) education and awareness, (2) empowerment and capacity building, (3) participation in decision-making, (4) support for active citizenship, and (5) utilization of technology.

Conclusion: The findings highlight five crucial strategies for involving young people in anti-corruption initiatives: raising awareness and educating them, empowering them with knowledge and resources, involving them in decision-making, promoting active citizenship, and utilizing technology. Together, these tactics promote accountability, openness, and significant youth participation in the fight against corruption.
