Abstract

Background and Aims: Transformational leadership among school administrators is crucial to the success of educational institutions. Administrators play a key role in connecting with school personnel to effectively implement policies and drive strategic direction. With a visionary outlook, they can initiate new management structures, adapt to novel operational paradigms, and steer the institution toward achieving its set goals efficiently. The objectives of this research were 1) To study level of transformational leadership of school administrators under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 2) To compare the transformational leadership of school administrators under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 classified by gender, education level, work experience and size of educational institution.

Methodology: The sample groups were teachers under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Academic year 2023, 306 teachers. The sample size was calculated using Krejci and Morgan’s table and random sampling according to the size of an educational institution. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with a consistency index of 0.50 or higher, and the overall reliability was 0.96. Data analysis statistics include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance.

Results: The research results were found: (1) Transformational leadership of school administrators to the teachers’ opinion, under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. Overall, it is of a high standard. When each aspect was examined, it was discovered that the aspect with the highest average was idealized influence, followed by inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, intellectual stimulation, and shared vision, which has the lowest average. (2) The results of comparing the transformational leadership of school administrators as perceived by teachers under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 classify jobs based on gender, education level, and work experience. It was discovered that the overall and individual aspects were not different. The size of educational institutions was found to have an overall statistically significant difference at the .05 level.

Conclusion: According to the research, School Administrators under the Chachoengsao Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 exhibit the highest level of transformational leadership, with idealized influence being the strongest and shared vision being the lowest. There were no differences based on gender, educational background, and work experience; however, differences were observed based on the size of an educational institution.
