Abstract

Background and Aims: Nowadays, innovation is very important in developing the potential of sports personnel. The potential of a good athlete is something that everyone desires at a club, but to have good potential depends on many different factors and components, with each factor being more or less important depending on one's attitude of personnel and stakeholders of the club who will apply innovation to develop the potential of athletes This research therefore has the objectives 1) to study the level of innovation management to develop the potential of athletes at the Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club, and 2) to study the factors influencing the management of innovation to develop the potential of athletes at the Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club is quantitative research.

Methodology: The sample group used in the research consisted of 50 personnel, administrators, and athletes in the Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club by purposive selection. The research tools used were questionnaires. Statistics used in data analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis using a hierarchical variable selection method.

Results: (1) Management of innovation to develop the potential of athletes at the Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club (overview). It was found that most agreed that the level of management of innovation to develop the potential of athletes was at a moderate level. Considering each aspect, it was found that the actual efficiency aspect was at a moderate level, the actual implementation aspect was at a moderate level, and the actual application aspect was at a moderate level respectively. (2) The correlation coefficient (r) is equal to 0.688, indicating that the factors influencing innovation management in developing the potential of Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club athletes include all aspects. There is a relationship in the same direction at a moderate level.

Conclusion: The management of innovation to develop the potential of athletes at Khonkaen Star VC Volleyball Club has a moderate level of management in terms of efficiency, implementation, and actual application. It shows the relationship that connects the variables that influence the three aspects of innovation management at a moderate level.
