Abstract

Abstract

          The study of  dance process costumes of Sangtong in play performed by all male in Sangtong story.  The researcher used the qualitative research by analysing the sequenses of Sangtong  Play performed by all male actors. The researcher utilized basic data from documents, textbooks and interview with experts selected by purposive sampling.  The study used unstructured interview questions, and audio recording tool to collect data.  The researcher also  conducted direct observation in the dance pattern of Ram Long-sang Mon Pra-Sang performed by  Kru Udom Kulametpon, a well known and respected stage performer. The obtained data was  analyzed, and interpreted with content analysis before presenting the summary and recommendation for further study. There are 5 steps of the dance pattern in showering and costumes as follow; 1) actor opening dance, 2) showering, 3) to make up, 4) to dress up and 5) to travel. Ram-Long-Song Mon was special because using two beds.  The audience would understand the situation that there were different places. The main dance pattern which used in Ram Long-song Mon Pra-Sang were 11 patterns. There were23 Soi-Tha dance pattern. The main dance were similar with other Long-Song but different Soi-Tha. Naa-paat  music was  special from other Sa-Mur music by raise their feet and Jiip for catching the raise feet and used Chert-Chin  by using body dance pattern 6 rhythm replace Gaag-Am-Pon dance pattern or Pi-Sa-Mai Riang-Moon for identity in this performance.
