การปรับตัวของแรงงานไทใหญ่ในอำเภอเมืองจังหวัดเชียงใหม่

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการปรับตัวของแรงงานไทใหญ่ที่อาศัยอยู่ในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ รูปแบบการวิจัยเป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้วิธีการเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การสนทนากลุ่ม และการสังเกตการณ์ ใช้วิธีการเลือกผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักแบบเจาะจง จำนวน 28 คน ได้แก่ แกนนำแรงงานไทใหญ่ ผู้นำในชุมชน ได้แก่ ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน พระสงฆ์ ผู้ให้ข้อมูลเสริม ได้แก่ เจ้าหน้าที่ที่ทำงานในองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน ในพื้นที่อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และทำกลุ่มสนทนากับแกนนำแรงงานไทใหญ่ จำนวน 4 กลุ่ม (26) คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าแรงงานไทใหญ่ที่ทำงานในอำเภอเมืองจังหวัดเชียงใหม่มีทั้งแรงงานถูกกฎหมายและแรงงานผิดกฎหมาย เมื่อแรงงานไทใหญ่เข้ามาอยู่ในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่แล้ว ได้มีการปรับตัวเพื่อให้สามารถอาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่อย่างมีความสุขและสามารถหารายได้จากการทำงานได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยมีการปรับตัวในด้านวิถีชีวิตและความเป็นอยู่ อาชีพและการทำงาน การสื่อสารและภาษา การศึกษาของบุตรหลานการแต่งกาย ประเพณีและวัฒนธรรม สุขภาพ สิทธิและเสรีภาพ
