Influential Factors in Community Management for Sustainable Tourism in Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze a confirmatory factor of the community management for sustainable tourism in Khon Kaen Province, and to examine the consistency between the model of the structural factor of community management for sustainable tourism in Khon Kaen Province with the empirical data. The sample group consisted of 400 people from 114 villages who were entrepreneurs and members of the OTOP Nawatwithi tourism community in Khon Kean Province. The research instruments included questionnaires and statistical analysis used a confirmatory factor analysis with orthogonal rotation by the varimax method and evaluate with the maximum feasibility. The result showed the KMO=0.95 and the Bartlett’s test of sphericity were significantly related at a level of 0.00, which showed that the data was relevant and was able to be used in the factor analysis. The results of the factor analysis found 5 elements as follows:                     1) leadership and the use of technology 2) participation and relationships building 3) customer services and cost savings 4) operational planning and 5) marketing. The result found that the model of the structural factor of community management for sustainable tourism in Khon Kaen Province was consistent with the empirical data which considered from the following values: = 93.60, dƒ=529, ( /dƒ) =1.76, CFI=0.96, TLI=0.95, RMSEA=0.04, SRMR= 0.03.
