A Study of Learning Outcomes on Mechanic Creatively for Green Energy Learning Unit and Creative Thinking of Grade 8 Students Using STEM Education

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to 1) study of learning outcomes on mechanic creatively for Green energy learning unit of grade 8 students using STEM education and 2) study creative thinking of grade 8 students before and after using STEM education. Research purposive samples were 16 of grade 8 students from a classroom in Sasileam School in the academic year 2019. The sample group was selected using cluster random sampling. Research tools were 3 STEM education lesson plans. Data was collected through achievement test, student’s tasks form, and creativity assessment test. Data analysis was carried out with the use of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Research findings showed that: 1) Learning outcomes on mechanic creatively for Green energy learning unit of grade 8 students. 1.1) Learning achievement was significantly higher than before at the .05 level. 1.2) Learning achievement was significantly higher than 70% criterion at the .05 level. 1.3) Student’s task score was very good and 2) Creative thinking was significantly higher than before at the .05 level.
