The Development of a Mixed Training Model Based on Self-Directed Learning Principles to Enhance Digital Literacy Competencies for Teachers in the Office of Basic Education Commission

Abstract
This research aimed to develop model and to examine the results of trail the mixing training model with self-directed learning principles to enhance digital literacy competencies for teachers working under the Office of Basic Education Commission. The research project had two phases; the first phase: development of mixed training with nine experts from Mahasarakham University, Kalasin University, Mahasarakham Provincial Education Office, The office of Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Education Personnel, and The Office of Basic Education Commission. The informants were selected by purposive sampling asked to assess the appropriateness of the model and other documents. The second phase: the trial model and presenting the results of model’s applications with samples deriving from 40 volunteer teachers of the Office of Basic Education Commission, who participated to the trial training model. The results of this research were included 1) The model consisting of principles, objectives andcomponents, steps and outputs of the mixed training. 2) The results of the trial using the mixed training model showed that teachers, who participated to the training presented a higher knowledge scores before the training, as indicated by significant level of statistical results score at .05 level, the results of skills evaluation were at an excellence level, the results of attribute score after training was higher than before training as indicated by the statistical significance at .05level.
