The Development of Creative Economy Small Enterprises “Sdawa” in Pattani Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the lessons of creative economy business development and to develop creative economy small enterprises “Sdawa” in Pattani province. This paper presents a research and development study. Data collection was via in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and business development operations. Research results summary:(1) business development methods creative economy form were divided into 2 aspects, composing creative design and utilization, (2) development of small enterprises creative economy “Sdawa” in Pattani Province. The results were divided into 2 parts: (1) creative design, tamarind processing knowledge and (2) identity “Sdawa” brand concentrating on tamarind and tamarind trees.Creatively using velvet tamarind crushed with Chinese plum, utilization was essential. The development of velvet tamarind crushed with Chinese plum could be done via product features, product brand and packaging. The results revealed a 20% business value added contribution.
