บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเอกสาร (documentary research method) ศึกษาและถอดบทเรียนการจัดการวิกฤตการละเมิดข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของผู้ใช้ของ Facebook ที่ตกเป็นข่าวดังในช่วงปี ค.ศ. 2018, Yahoo ที่ตกเป็นข่าวในช่วงปี ค.ศ. 2016, และ Google+ ที่ตกเป็นข่าวช่วงปลายปี ค.ศ. 2018 โดยใช้แนวคิดการจัดการวิกฤตเป็นกรอบแนวคิดในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นรูปแบบการจัดการวิกฤตของทั้ง 3 องค์กร คือ พบการมองข้ามความสำคัญและการละเลยที่จะแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องของระบบรักษาความปลอดภัยข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของผู้ใช้บริการ โดยทั้ง 3 องค์กรขาดการจัดการวิกฤต กล่าวคือ ไม่มีการดำเนินการเพื่อเตรียมรับมือและป้องกันวิกฤตในขั้นก่อนวิกฤต ขาดการจัดการในขั้นวิกฤตที่รัดกุม และไม่มีการจัดการในขั้นหลังวิกฤต หากพิจารณาในภาพรวมแล้ว สามารถสรุปได้ว่าปัจจัยทั้งภายในที่หมายถึงการให้ความสำคัญต่อการปกป้องข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของผู้ใช้และภายนอกองค์กรที่หมายถึงกลุ่ม/องค์กรที่สร้างความเสียหายต่อองค์กรทั้ง 3 โดยปัจจัยทั้ง 2 รูปแบบนี้ส่งผลต่อระดับความรุนแรงของวิกฤต รวมถึงประสิทธิภาพการจัดการวิกฤตขององค์กรในภาพรวม
