Abstract

This study employed qualitative research tools to investigate the status of rice research data service in Thailand. The purposive sampling consisted of 8 administrators and staff who were assigned to provide rice research data service researchers from 5 rice research data service centers. The research instruments were record forms and semi-structured interviews. Inductive content analysis was employed to analyze data. The research found that rice research data service in Thailand, provided by rice research data service centers, did not have a research data service policy. The rice research data services in Thailand mostly were research data retrieval services via agricultural research repository and reference services via telephone and social media. Rising awareness of research data management services and training in data literacy was not found.
