นิราศจักรวาลเป็นนิราศสมัยใหม่ที่มีลักษณะเด่นในด้านการแสดงทัศนะ เพื่อกระตุ้นเตือนให้สังคมเห็นความสำคัญของการสร้างสันติภาพบนโลก โดยกวีนำเสนอเรื่องราวการเดินทางของตัวละครสัญลักษณ์ ซึ่งสร้างขึ้นจากจินตนาการเพื่อเป็นอุทาหรณ์ให้ผู้อ่านตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของปัญหาที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต ซึ่งการสืบทอดขนบการประพันธ์จากวรรณนิราศในอดีต ร่วมกับการสร้างสรรค์ลักษณะเด่นที่แปลกใหม่ขึ้นผสมผสาน นับเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่ทำให้นิราศจักรวาลมีคุณค่าและน่าสนใจ
