บทความนี้สนใจที่องค์การศึกษาวิทยาศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNESCO) สนับสนุนการศึกษามนุษยศาสตร์ในระดับนานาชาติในช่วงหลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2  และในประเทศไทยได้สร้างหลักสูตรของการศึกษาศิลปศาสตร์ที่จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยและมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ตั้งแต่ต้นทศวรรษ 2500

This article traces how the United Nations Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) supported the study of Humanities in the postwar international education, and how, in Thailand, the UNESCO and the US government helped to create a curriculum of liberal arts education at Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University between the late 1950s  and the early  1960s.
