Abstract

การใช้ภาษาใน "ห้องสนทนา" ทางอินเทอร์เน็ต สัมพันธ์กับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสองประการ ประการแรก เป็นการเปลี่ยนจากการสนนทนาจริงเป็นการเขียนโดยผ่านทางคอมพิวเตอร์ ประการที่สอง เป็นการใช้ภาษาระดับข้อความที่มีลักษณะของการโต้ตอบกันไปมาระหว่างคู่สนทนา การใช้ภาษาในห้องสนทนาถูกกำหนดด้วยปัจจัยทางอินเทอร์เน็ต ที่ส่งผลให้มีลักษณะของการพูดด้วยการเขียน ซึ่งมีลักษณะเฉพาะและกำลังขยายวงมากขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว

Language use in chatrooms involves two new paradigm shifts. First, there is a shift from speaking to writing by computerization. A second paradigm shift is taking place around the notion of "discourse", a dialogue. Within the Internet interactive environment, there are further developments taking place. In other words, the Internet has already produced its own set of "text-talk" genres and practices. Its universe of discourse is rapidly diversifying.
