"พ่อของผมเป็นกะเทย" ปัญหาเรื่องความเป็นชายและความเป็นพ่อในนวนิยายเรื่อง พระจันทร์สีรุ้ง

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษานวนิยายเรื่อง พระจันทร์สีรุ้ง ของวัตตรา ในแง่ความเป็นชายกับปัญหาการเปิดเสรีความเป็นพ่อ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าผู้เขียนใช้ตัวละครกะเทยในการสร้างภาพแทนของพ่อทางเลือก แต่ผู้เขียนกลับหยิบเลือกวาทกรรมกระแสหลักว่าด้วยความเบี่ยงเบนทางเพศและความสมบูรณ์ของครอบครัวรักต่างเพศมาใช้ ผู้เขียนเน้นให้เห็นว่าตัวละครที่ถูกเลี้ยงดูมาโดยพ่อกะเทยจำเป็นต้องเติบโตเป็นชายรักต่างเพศ การสร้างความเป็นพ่อทางเลือกในนวนิยายเรื่องนี้จึงเป็นเพียงมายาคติที่ถูกผลิตซ้ำโดยนักเขียนหญิงผู้มีความมืดบอดทางเพศสถานะโดยเป็นผลมาจากวาทกรรมชุดอื่นๆ ที่ว่าด้วยความเป็นพ่อ เพศสถานะ และเพศวิถีที่ไหลวนอยู่ในสังคมไทย

This article aims at studying Wattra's Phra Chan See Rung (Rainbow Moon) in terms of masculinities and problems in alternative fatherhood. It is found that the author utilizes transgender (kathoey) characters to represent alternative fatherhood. Yet the author exploits mainstream discourse on sexual deviation and the ideal heterosexual family. She also emphasizes that major characters who are brought up by transgender father need to be heterosexual. Alternative fatherhood, in the novel, is a myth reproduced by a female author who has gender blindness. Her perspective is shaped by other discourses concerning fatherhood,genders, and sexualities which echo in Thai society.
