PEOPLE'S SATISFACTION WITH THE ELECTION OF SUB-DISTRICT COUNCIL MEMBERS AND ADMINISTRATORS OF SA KRACHOM SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION DON CHEDI DISTRICT SUPHANBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were: 1. to study the satisfaction of the people towards the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives in Sakrajom Sub-District, Don Chedi District, Suphan Buri Province; 2. to study the comparison of the satisfaction of the people towards the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives classified by personal factors; and 3. to propose guidelines for developing the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives to create public satisfaction by applying Buddhist principles. A mixed-method research method was used. The quantitative research collected data from a sample of 370 people. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test with one-way analysis of variance. The qualitative research used in-depth interviews with 9 key informants. The data were analyzed by descriptive content analysis.

The results of the research found that: 1. The level of public satisfaction with the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives in Sakrajom Sub-District, Don Chedi District, Suphan Buri Province, overall across all four dimensions, with an average value at a moderate level. 2. A comparison of public satisfaction with the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives classified by personal factors revealed that people with different genders, ages, education, occupations, and incomes had similar overall opinions towards the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. Therefore, the hypothesis was rejected. 3. A guideline for developing the election of Sub-District Council members and Sub-District Administrative Organization executives was proposed to create public satisfaction by applying Buddhist principles according to the 4 Sanghavatthu principles. It was found that: Giving supports public activities and helping the underprivileged; Piyawaja using polite words creates closeness and trust; Atthajariya contributing to society, building trust in the organization; Samanattata behaving appropriately; and Demonstrating consistency.
